19.02.19 – Complementary of the Moon and the Sun.

I really like to draw hands on a character’s face, a gentle caress from a loved one. It was such a nice experience to draw this two illustrations. Drawing loving moments like this is really something I love to do.

I did the illustration of Lunafreya and Noctis last year for the release of the Royal Edition, from its trailer. I was really thinking that we will get more of Lunafreya and Noctis, but sadly we didn’t, though the little moment we got was really priceless to me. It’s such a nice representation of their relationship : « So close, yet so far« .

As for the Illustration with Ignis was a mere dream. Someone far away trying to guide him in the darkness. A pure hearted one like him sure needed a kind and soft help at this time, he was losing one of his dearest friends. The Dove was a representation of liberty and purety. The Crescent Moon in the background was a personal thing of mine, it’s a way to describe the personality of Ignis. I always thought that Noctis and Ignis were more like the Moon for their personality, more Silent and always watching for others. As the contrary, Gladiolus and Prompto were more like the Sun to me, more cheerful and sociably more adaptable, they always have this warm aura around them. Of course, in the piece of Lunafreya and Noctis, Lunafreya was representing the Moon, the light guiding Noctis in the dark night.

Even in dark times, it’s always nice to have someone you can rely on.

03/08/2018 – Sweet Dreams

There’s something I love to do, it’s to put two universe/characters together and think about how they could interact with each other. »How about all the story within all media are all connected one day? » That’s would be something really surprising. In Final Fantasy games (and surely others games)… For exemple in Dissidia we can see the characters interact with each other that are from another Final Fantasy world. I was really happy that I could cry when I saw Cécil Harvey from FFIV talk to Noctis Lucis Caelum and the Warrior of Light! It was a big surprise and was so sweet too.

I also remember in Final Fantasy XIV when Lightning (Éclair Farron) was in Eorzea. It was so interesting to see her in a FF less technology and more « medieval like ».

Let’s think for a moment, how about all the characters we have grown with, are just in another world, a parallel world. And sadly they can’t interact much with us, but they can when we sleep, because the world of our dreams is still a mystery place that we don’t really understand, but I like to think that this place of dreams is a way to be connected with a parallel world. When I think about this kind of things, life is a bit less grey and more colourful.

I don’t like to be always in the reality of our world, I find it boring at times. Dreaming and drawing is what make me happy and I want to stay this way.So that’s why I will always continue to make my dreams come true.
